Diagnostic Assessments

You’ve taken multiple online screeners, read the books, listened to the podcasts and your algorithm is flooded with information about ADHD and/or Autism. You’ve been in therapy, but it feels like vital information is missing.

In an effort to increase access in the neurodivergent community ECS provides Diagnostic Assessments.  We believe and support self-identification and recognize that there is often still a desire to have a mental health clinician confirm what you already suspect (Hello imposter syndrome).  

The assessment process will vary based on an individual's needs and desired use of the diagnosis. Whether this is for self understanding, therapeutic use, access to accommodation or medication support, we are happy to work with you to determine the best fit.

Please note that different institutions (school, healthcare, work) may have varying requirements for diagnosis. We recommend that you look at what is required if you are seeking accommodations with a specific program. We are happy to help sort this out with you. This diagnostic process is not a psychological evaluation.

Confidentiality is our priority, your private medical information will not be provided to any entity without your express written permission. We remain actively informed of the conversations impacting Autism, ADHD and the broader neurodivergent community.

This diagnosis will support:

  • Personal understanding and therapeutic work.

  • College Accommodations - University requirements will vary

  • Work Accommodations- Qualifies for an accommodation request, yet each employer determines what is approved.

  • Medication Management - Prescriber dependent. Check with your current MD, or we can refer you to an affirming prescriber.

  • 504 plan - Will support initial requests 504 accommodations.

This diagnosis will not support:

  • Social Security Disability Services

  • Regional Center Services

  • Individual Education Plan (IEP)

In this episode of Divergent Conversations, Jamie Roberts talks with Patrick Casale and Dr. Megan Anna Neff, two AuDHD mental health professionals, about the complex and deeply personal aspects of her own later-in-life diagnosis, neurodiversity, identity, and self-discovery.

All diagnostic assessments explore overlapping conditions. Due to the high level of comorbidity we do not separate out single diagnosis. While we specialize in ADHD and Autism, our assessment also assesses for and/or rules out Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Bipolar I&II, Trauma and Borderline Personality Disorder.

Informal Assessment $700

  • 1 hour clinical interview gathering history, current experiences and identifying specific traits/symptoms.

  • 1 hour feedback session reviewing provided information.

  • Includes 1 page letter and personalized list of resources/referrals

  • For personal use, self-diagnosis confirmation and increased understanding via psychoeducation

  • Does not include screening tools or accommodations letter.

Formal Assessment $1200

  • 2 hour in depth clinical interview gathering history, current experiences and identifying specific traits/symptoms.

  • 1 hour feedback session - Collaborative review of the complete assessment report, recommendations and referrals.

  • Pearson Sensory Profile Assessment

  • Review of Self Assessments (RAADS-R, AQ, CAT-Q, Monotropism, Brown ADHD Scale, ASRS-1)

  • For: personal confirmation, medical & educational accommodations (with limitations - dependent on facility/university)

  • Includes full 12+ page report with test results and personalized list of resources/referrals.

  • Accommodation Request Letter

Consultation $250

  • 1 hour meeting - General discussion of neurodiversity affirming recommendations for those with questions about next steps in their journey.

  • Includes general list of resources and referrals

Sensory Profile $400

  • Self administered Questionnaire

  • 1 hour Results & Feedback session

  • Includes 1 page report and resource/referral list
