Claire Craddick, AMFT (she/her)

Clinical Therapist

“If you force yourself to go outside, something wonderful always happens!”

- Mary, age 93, Humans of New York (2011)

As your therapist, I will be the mirror that allows you to see yourself without judgment so that you may truly attune to your human nature and goodness. Together we will celebrate individuality, nurture authenticity, emphasize strengths, and achieve true belonging through self-compassion. I want to encourage your self-acceptance, personal insight, and an empowered mindset as you learn to embrace your journey.

What I believe about human nature is that people are all built ready to be successful in life and it is through our negative experiences and society’s conditioning that we lose our connection with our true selves. As a therapist, I use interpersonal therapy and attachment therapy to create a supportive and safe therapeutic relationship through offering unconditional acceptance. I believe we first need to feel heard and accurately understood to create goals that support our path towards healing.

I have been in the field of education and community mental health since 2011. Throughout my journey of self-exploration, I’ve discovered I have a passion for helping others achieve their dreams and succeed. I first gained experience in early education and providing services to students with disabilities in a university setting. I continued to pursue my passion of helping others which led me to work in behavioral intervention. Through these experiences, I recognized the necessity to practice in a neurodiversity-affirming manner, so I decided to pursue a career as a psychotherapist.
