Welcome to Equilibrium Counseling Services.

The path from Teen to Young Adult can be rocky and it can feel especially scary when your mental health is impacted. But, you don’t have to walk this path alone. At Equilibrium Counseling Services (ECS), our favorite people are youth ages 12-26! ECS is a place where clients can express themselves freely, find relief from symptoms, and rediscover confidence and passion in their lives.

We are dedicated to supporting teens’ mental-well being on their transformative journey into adulthood. Beyond counseling, our therapists act as a lifeline for adolescents in need.

ECS is also a Neurodiversity affirming practice. This means our therapists understand the intricacies of sensory sensitivity, executive function, different learning styles and more. We know that navigating Neurodivergence such as ADHD or Autism can be challenging for both teens and their families. Whether you already have a diagnosis, self identify or have questions about your identity, we can help understand your specific needs. Many of our therapists have lived experience within the Neurodiversity umbrella and its many identity intersections such as complex trauma, eating disorders, gender and sexual orientation.

Embarking on the journey toward emotional wellness is a brave and life-changing decision. At ECS we are here to guide you every step of the way. Whether you’re a parent seeking support for your teen or a young adult exploring counseling options, we invite you to reach out and start a conversation.

Mental Health is Social Justice

In a world that is ever-changing, ECS recognizes that the tensions and stressors of social justice issues belong in the therapy room.

Systemic racism, financial inequality, immigration status, disability rights and queer identities all impact the ways that you can move through the world. Here at ECS, we take into account the intersectionality of your identity as an important piece of understanding your unique mental health needs. ECS is an active participant in community programs and prioritizes listening to leaders with lived experience while challenging our own biases.
Our goal is to provide resources and connections within our community and to be a participant in systemic change. As clinicians, we are present to help you unpack and explore the ways in which social inequality has impacted you and your mental health. We want to help you to break cycles and heal from generational and societal trauma.
