Neurodiversity is Celebrated at ECS
What is Neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity refers to the diversity of ways in which our brains are wired - everyone’s brain is different! As opposed to neurotypical people, neurodivergent people have a unique perspective and interpretation of the world.
The Neurodivergent umbrella include Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bipolar, OCD, as well as Processing and Learning Disorders.
If you or your teen is seeking neurodivergent-affirming therapy, ECS can help. It is common for neurodivergent people to feel like something is “off,” without fully understanding what that is (yet!).
Neurodivergent people experience the world in unique ways and may struggle socially and emotionally. It is also common for neurodivergent people to come to therapy without a diagnosis, but seeking clarity and confirmation. At ECS we believe self assessment/diagnosis is valid.
